Exoftware Appoints Ex-Winterthur Life Chairman to Board

Ex-Winterthur Life UK Chairman and Chief Executive, John C. Finan, takes Non-executive Directorship at Exoftware Agile Solutions Ltd.

DUBLIN, Ireland and LONDON, UK…....6 March 2006// Agile methods consultancy Exoftware, announced today the appointment of financial services industry leader John C. Finan as a Non-executive Director of the company. Finan’s appointment will help support the company’s expansion and developments in the UK , specifically within the financial services industry. Exoftware has an established track record for servicing the financial services industry in the UK with a range of Agile services including, Agile Transitions and Mentoring, Agile Training, Agile Recruitment and Near-shore/Onsite Agile Software Development.

Irishman Finan moved to the UK at an early age and has been at the helm of some of the country’s leading insurance providers. Amongst his achievements was the turnaround management of Winterthur Life UK , the UK life and pensions arm of Credit Suisse in 1992. He spearheaded the £305 million acquisition of Colonial Life for Winterthur UK . Finan has also directed companies such as NEL Britannia and Pearl Assurance.

He has also had key roles in the European Education Committee and UK committee of Life Insurance Marketing Research Association (LIMRA). Most recently Finan has been commissioned to write a number of articles on marketing and branding in the financial services industry for Lafferty, a European financial services consultancy firm.

Finan also manages his own consulting practice where he sits on various Boards and offers his expertise to companies. His offering consists of marketing, mentoring, strategic planning, turnaround management, deal making and fundraising. He is currently a Non-executive Director of Appian Technology plc and Chariot (UK) plc, both AIM listed companies. He is also Chairman of a number of companies such as Amhanta and 3Q Solutions Ltd.

Finan will assist Exoftware with continued sales and marketing activities within the UK , as well as acting as Chairman for the company’s Audit Committee.
